“There are three possible parts to a date, of which at least two must be offered: entertainment, food, and affection. To explore the Café Hemingway’s menu, is to embark upon an adventure. It’s like wandering into a secret forest, complete with toadstools hiding secret delights underneath their extended, umbrella-heads. Peak beneath one and you will find a Horton (crispy almond crusted Camembert served with a tangy berry coulis) or under another and you will come across our authentic ceviche (Efrain - served with citrus quinoa, micro coriander & fresh chillies).

Meander down a path, cross a stream and you will be presented with the Hemingway’s Whopper Toppa, a burger of breath-taking height (succulent beef layered with Aged Cheddar & topped with bacon & onion jam, wild rocket, & grilled pineapple).

Adventure calls… now’s the time to explore.

Breakfasts @Hemingways

Ahhh Pooh – a bear after our own heart! For most people, and bears we suppose, who haven’t eaten at Café Hemingway’s breakfast is nothing like an adventure. But for those lucky ones who have… ah well, for them it’s different. 

Mountains of pancakes wait to be scaled. Dripping with mascarpone cheese and fresh fruit. For the hungry we have full English breakfasts, or the Tom Ripley, eggs Florentine with sliced artisan rye bread topped with wilted spinach, a poached egg or avocado & mushrooms (seasonal) & home-made hollandaise sauce. 

Of course adventure can also be light and breezy, rather like a walk through the hundred acre wood. If you fancy an adventure on the lighter side, try the Elizabeth Robinson, Swiss muesli topped with toasted nuts, cranberries & julienne apples drizzled with honey, or even the Alcibiades (quinoa & roasted almond tart topped with peanut butter & seasonal berries, served with a side of organic Greek yoghurt). 

But above all, breakfast needs to be delicious, and for pure taste sensation you can’t beat our Clarice (quiche of the day) or the Madame Rouge (layered French chocolate croissant).

Available in a platter for 1 or 2 people, this delectable distraction gives you the opportunity to crack the sugary crust on a light vanilla crème brûlée before lifting the lid on a deconstructed cheesecake in a jar or licking the icing off a hand-made fudge cake. 

Each platter is built specifically for the table who ordered it so varies based on what our chefs feel you will enjoy the most.

Love, light and salvation comes in many forms, and we think that this is one of them! There is no experience like a Hemingway’s dessert! 

Our signature deconstructed apple pie is not only the most beautiful version of this tasty treat, that you will ever see, it’s also absolutely delicious. Layers of fresh, organic cream combine with fluffly, light pastry and hand-crafted apple roses. 

One of the dishes that has made us famous is, of course, Christopher Robin. Our surprise cheesecake in a jar is exactly that. A surprise. Topped with lashings of fresh berry coulis, made with seasonal fruit and a crust that is simply divine, our cheesecake in a jar is something everyone should try at least once! You won’t be sorry! 

So whether it’s Isolde (silky butter-milk panna cotta layered with fresh organic berries &  topped with honey phyllo shards), Lolita (vanilla crème brûlée, served with fresh berries & a smooth hazelnut praline) or even Lady Chatterley (cake of the day) share dessert with us – we can’t wait to see you!
