Ahhh the Marie Antoinette High Tea. The most bold and exotic of the Café Hemingway’s high tea menus. The menu has been crafted with stunning attention to detail and is part of our gorgeous Queen of Cakes line. 

Just like the woman herself, Marie Antoinette is decadent, with lashings of colour, texture and taste previously unseen in a high tea. It’s elegant. The décor is spectacular, with particular attention paid to the table and food styling. And it’s exclusive! Our Marie Antoinette is hosted in the private dining area of Café Hemingway’s in the elite dining room. Bookings are for ten or less guests at a time.

Wisteria, dripping in fat purple flowers, the buzz of bees unhurriedly going about their business and the smell of freshly baked cakes wafting on a gentle breeze, mingled on a perfect Highveld day as the Café Hemingway’s team set up to take pictures of some delectable cakes, lovingly made by our Chef's.

Mini cakes are one of our favourite things, because you don’t need a special occasion or a party to have one, all you need is a desire for something beautiful and truly delicious! These cakes are made as naked cakes (with no icing coating the sides), or as fully iced cakes, and are available in the restaurant on an ongoing basis. But be warned! They are delectable so are sold out rather quickly, it’s always better to order and then you can choose exactly what you want! 

For something a little more glamorous why not try our croque-en-bouche for a little extra Parisian flair, with all the right colours for your décor or party theme! 

All our cakes are made individually and with only the best ingredients. Decorations are often in the form of fresh fruit and flowers, but should you have a specific theme in mind, we would be delighted to make your cake accordingly.
